CLIENT: Allen Hall Advertising for UO Basketball
OPPORTUNITY: The University of Oregon is historically a football school. We found that students were most likely to attend football games over basketball games, leaving our basketball program at a lack.
METHOD: Basketball is a sport filled with endless movement, energetic plays, and closeness to the players on the court. We wanted to show that UO basketball isn’t something you can miss. We did this by showing up in the spaces that Oregon fans flock to and anchoring UOBB into Duck life.

RESULTS: We covered the Erb Memorial Union, the heart of campus, in bold UO iconography tied to the energy of Oregon Basketball. We distributed coffee sleeves and coasters to bars and cafes from Portland to LA. We created a radio spot and a commercial that aired on ESPN that highlighted the energy of Matthew Knight Arena. To end the season, we held an event celebrating our teams and invited fans of all ages to experience the moment. Fans flocked to the MKA practice courts to score single-run, limited-edition posters, t-shirts, and sweat towels. A sense of pride for the teams was created in our UOBB gallery that highlighted important players, coaches, and moments in UOBB history.
